Sheffield Innovation Programme Intro Webinar: Sports and Physical Activity Research Centre

The Sheffield Innovation Programme Introductory Webinar Events Series aims to introduce Sheffield City Region SMEs to Sheffield Hallam University experts and academics to create funded opportunities for engagement and collaborations to drive businesses forward.

This session will be led by academics from Sports and Physical Activity Research Centre (SPARC) which sits within the Department for Sport and Physical Activity.

SPARC is one of the largest sports and physical activity research clusters in the UK and comprises of four research groups, which carry out internationally renowned, world-class research in sport and human performance, physical activity and health, sport business and economics and sport engineering.

SPARC facilitates collaborations across multiple disciplines to address real world research questions and to have an impact at individual, local and population levels. Its research is delivered with national and international partners, ranging from elite sporting organisations, such as Sport England, Team GB Olympic, and FIFA, to health sectors and charities, including the NHS, Department of Health, Public Health England and Macmillan Cancer Research.

This webinar will showcase what SPARC can offer Sheffield City Region SMEs, featuring case study examples and a Q&A session with industry experts.

About Sheffield Innovation Programme

Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) is a regional initiative which aims to stimulate business growth and promote the development of long-term relationships with SMEs. This is achieved by providing access to a broad range of academic expertise and university facilities. The support is in the form of bespoke research and innovation-based consultancy, workshops, and other events.

SIP support is available to eligible businesses in the Sheffield City Region and the districts of Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Derbyshire Dales & North East Derbyshire.

Please note- this is a free webinar delivered by the Sheffield Innovation Programme for SME businesses within Sheffield City Region. Prioty of places are given to those who meet this criteria.
