About Supply to Doncaster

The following organisations are Supply to Doncaster partners:

Doncaster Council spend over £200 million each year on goods, services and works.

All buying is done through fair and transparent procurement processes to ensure that value for money is achieved.

All contracts are awarded in accordance with our internal procedural rules and all European and national legislation. As part of this process we look to secure the best value for money option.

DBTH aims to encourage a wide range of suppliers to compete for our contracts to keep a competitive market place. DBTH welcomes the inclusion of all companies including SME’s and the voluntary and community sectors where appropriate. DBTH procures a wide variety of goods, works and services to support the many front line services that it provides.

Procurement opportunities can be found on our e-tendering portal “In-tend” under our “Working Together NHS” banner! If you are a supplier who dealt with the Trust previously through ProContract, you will need to register here.

Opportunities are also advertised on contracts finder website.

The Trust is a limited company and an Arm's Length Management Organisation (ALMO) with Doncaster Council being the sole Member. The Trust’s focus is to improve services for children and young people, innovate practice, and strengthen partnership working across Team Doncaster.

The Contracts and Commissioning Team at the Trust have responsibility for procurement, with the majority of procurement activities relating to the provision of services. In addition to the services procured centrally, our service areas purchase goods and services they require within their departments, within certain thresholds and parameters. We ensure our procurement processes encompass the voice of the child and are fair, open, transparent, ensure best value and where possible, utilise local suppliers.

St Leger Homes of Doncaster spend approximately £20m per year with external organisations. This includes anything from the purchasing of low value everyday items to the procurement and delivery of multi-million pound award winning contracts.

They actively seek to engage with local suppliers to provide advice and guidance on how they can supply their organisation, as part of their commitment to this they aim to achieve 60% of spend with local providers.

Their procurement strategy sets out the clear approach that St Leger takes to deliver modern, efficient and effective procurement that complies with regulation, legislation and their own internal policies and vision.

Their focus is to ensure compliance whilst still delivering value for money.
