Active Fusion Launches New 2026 Event: The Throwback Games Set to Bring Businesses Together in Doncaster

The Throwback Games, taking place at the Doncaster Athletics Track on Friday 26th June from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Designed for businesses, organisations and sole traders across the region. The Throwback Games aims to bring the Doncaster business community together for an afternoon of fun, connection and collaboration, while also raising vital funds for Active Fusion during an important fundraising period.

Combining nostalgic school sports day favourites with creative team challenges, the event promises an energetic and engaging experience in a relaxed and inclusive setting. Participants will take part in a variety of activities including egg and spoon races, sack races and tug of war, alongside problem solving challenges and team-based games that encourage communication, teamwork and a healthy sense of competition.

Teams of six can enter for £20 per person, with 30 team spaces available. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to get involved. Smaller organisations or individuals can still take part, with the option to be grouped into mixed teams.

As well as promoting team building and wellbeing, the event creates valuable opportunities for networking, helping local businesses to build relationships and strengthen community ties outside of the workplace.

The event will take place during the Small Charity Week Big Give campaign, meaning that all funds raised will be doubled by a Big Give funder. This makes The Throwback Games not only a fun and engaging business event, but also a powerful opportunity to generate increased impact and raise essential funds to support Active Fusion’s work with young people across South Yorkshire.

By taking part, businesses are directly contributing to programmes that improve health, wellbeing and life chances, while enjoying a unique and memorable team experience.
