Bowker's Thorne Distribution Centre earns BRCGS AA+ accreditation

The BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standards) AA+ grade is the highest possible rating, awarded only after an unannounced audit confirms exceptional performance. Achieving this status demonstrates Bowker’s dedication to consistently delivering the highest standards across its storage and distribution operations.

In February 2023, Bowker expanded its operations by moving into the Thorne DC, strengthening its position in the food-grade logistics sector. Strategically located to serve manufacturers and distributors across the UK & internationally, the 31,000-pallet site provides seamless access across the UK. The 165,000 ft² warehouse delivers modern, flexible storage solutions tailored to a wide range of industries, including food-grade products, packaging, retail, e-commerce, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs).

Joe Caunce was appointed General Manager at the beginning of 2025, transitioning from the same role at Bowker’s Selby site. Bowker recognised the value of Joe’s extensive operational expertise and in-depth industry knowledge, developed through years of hands-on experience.
