Visitors to the city centre will once again benefit from free parking in selected council car parks this Christmas.
Following the launch of the Christmas events timetable in Doncaster, those looking to visit the city centre in December will have access to easier and more convenient parking, helping to support our independent businesses and market traders.
Between Monday 1 December 2025 and Sunday 4 January 2026, selected council car parks will offer free parking at certain times during the festive season: From 2pm Monday-Saturday at the Markets Car Park From 2pm Monday-Saturday at St Georges Car Park All day Sunday free parking at both the Markets Car Park and St Georges Car Park. All day Saturday free parking at Chappell Drive Car Park (December only)
Mayor Ros Jones said: “We are determined to do everything possible to support our high streets, independent businesses and market traders this festive season. We hope people will make the most of this offer alongside our incredible Christmas events.
“Our Christmas events timetable has now officially been launched and we have a lot happening to mark Christmas and the end of 2025 in the city centre. I hope everybody enjoys the festive season, spending quality time with family and friends whilst shopping local, helping to support the local businesses and traders we have in our great city.”
The city centre is also accessible by bus services, including several park and ride options.
