Doncaster-founded fresh burger brand shortlisted in national awards

URBAN Fresh Burgers & Fries is shortlisted under the Best Burger from an Independent Chain (10 or less locations) category in the British Burger Awards 2025. Winners will be announced on September 8th 2025.

A Doncaster favourite has been recognised on the national stage after being shortlisted in the British Burger Awards 2025.

URBAN Fresh Burgers & Fries, which first opened on Wheatley Hall Road in 2017, is a finalist in the Best Burger from an Independent Chain (10 or fewer locations) category – celebrating the best small-but-mighty burger joints from up and down the UK.

URBAN now operates five dine-in restaurants across South Yorkshire and a delivery kitchen in Leeds, with a loyal customer base and consistently excellent reviews for their fresh burgers and hand-cut fresh fries, and now they’re officially among the best in the UK. The brand’s Herten Triangle store was featured on YouTube star Danny Malin’s Rate My Takeaway channel in 2021, described as ‘unreal’, earning a solid 10 out of 10 rating.

Winners will be announced on 8th September 2025 at the celebration for burger innovation and business success, spotlighting everything from high-growth independents to powerhouse chains redefining the fast-casual experience.
