Doncaster spa retreat business with £1.3m price tag is sold

Truffle Lodge, a spa and wellness retreat business in Fishlake near Doncaster, has been sold as a going concern to new owners.

The business, which has planning consent to develop further guest accommodation, had been on the market for £1.3m with commercial property estate agent Ernest Wilson, part of BTG Eddisons, since the summer.

Opened in 2015 by founder Pam Webb, the well-known wellness venue includes treatment rooms, swimming pool, games room, bar lounge, and further spa facilities as well as a five-bedroom detached house with gardens.

Mark Czajka, a director at Ernest Wilson, said: “We are really pleased to have completed the sale of Truffle Lodge, which is a fantastic wellness-sector business with great growth potential and a loyal client base.

“Not surprisingly, there was plenty of interest from potential buyers and we are definitely seeing a trend for increased demand for lifestyle businesses from both investors and owner-operators, especially those with an outstanding reputation like Truffle Lodge.”

The wellness business’ founder Pam Webb said: “After 10 very busy and fulfilling years, I decided that the time was right to spend more time with family. Truffle Lodge was my pride and joy, and it has been an honour to work with the dedicated team to build a business that guests come back to time and time again.”
