Entries invited for 2023 Northern Tech Awards

The Awards showcase and celebrate the fastest growing and most promising tech companies in the North of the UK - entries are open until 17 March 2023.

Entries are invited for the 2023 Northern Tech Awards which showcase and celebrate the fastest growing and most promising tech companies in the North of the UK. The event, which is presented by GP Bullhound, is now in its tenth year.

Entries are open until 17 March 2023. To qualify for entry to the Top 100, firms must have at least three years of revenue growth with a minimum revenue level of £500,000 in 2020. Companies with revenues below this threshold are invited to enter and will be considered for the Northern Stars category.

Shortlisted companies will be revealed on 6 April 2023 in GP Bullhound's annual Northern Tech 100 League Table, featuring the Top 100 fastest-growing tech companies in the North.

The winners and Top 100 will then be celebrated at an award ceremony on 20 April 2023 at Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh – attended by entrepreneurs, CEOs, and business leaders at the forefront of the region's digital economy.

The 2023 award categories are:

  • Fastest Growing Company of the Year (with revenues under £10m)
  • Fastest Growing Larger Company of the Year (with revenues over £10m)
  • Judges' Innovation Award
  • Judges' Award for International Success
  • Judges' Leadership Award
  • Tech4Good Award
  • Judges' Entrepreneur Award
  • Judges’ Young Entrepreneur Award
  • Overall Judges' Award
  • The Region's Top Northern Star Awards
  • Northern Star Innovation Award
  • Northern Star Sustainability Award
  • Northern Star Award for potential International Success
  • Northern Star Overall Judges’ Award

Previous winners at the Northern Tech Awards include: Connex One, Crisp, Double Eleven, Evolution Funding, FOD mobility group, LADbible, Matillion, Miss Group, musicMagpie, Modern Milkman, Nexus, Peak, QBS Technology Group, Skyscanner, The Hut Group, and Twinkle Educational Publishing.
