Discount chain B&M are set to open a gigantic new store on the former site of Toys R Us at Lakeside Village in Doncaster.
Although the firm already has four stores in the town, work has begun on the huge new store which is due to open next month.
The store will sell groceries, toys and games, health and beauty, homeware, electrical goods, DIY equipment and gifts. There will also be a garden centre.
Bosses are already advertising for new employees, and have said they expect the store to open on August 26.
Lakeside Village centre manager Di Rodgers said: “Eagle-eyed shoppers may have spotted some new signage here at Lakeside Village in recent days.
“We can confirm that a major refurbishment project has got underway at the former Toys R Us property at Lakeside Village, to accommodate an exciting new addition to the centre – one of the UK’s fastest growing variety retailers, B&M.
“We know how excited our customers will be to hear this development – we are too – and we’ll be releasing more information in the weeks to come.”
The site has been empty since early 2018 when the Toys R Us went into administration
