Outdoor Hospitality Grant still available

Doncaster businesses are able to apply for a NEW Outdoor Hospitality Grant to help fund projects relating to outdoor activity.

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic and resultant economic disruption has placed significant pressures on the Hospitality, Accommodation, Leisure and Entertainment sector.

This grant is to provide help and assistance to any local business regardless of size and in the appropriate sector affected by the pandemic, to help with recovery and growth.

Eligible businesses will be able to access grants of between £1,000 and £3,000 to assist with the purchase of the following items:

  • Shelters
  • Gazebos
  • Umbrellas
  • Tables/Chairs
  • Decking/Parklets/Platforms
  • Planters
  • Marquees
  • Payment terminals
  • Signage
  • Marquees
  • Lighting/Sound/PA equipment
  • Outdoor Bar areas
  • Barriers/Tap rails
  • Hire of the above equipment
  • Costs associated with installation of the above 

Chris Dungworth, Head of Service for Business Doncaster said: “Doncaster Council has made a commitment to support the recovery of the local economy following the huge challenges faced during the pandemic. I am pleased that this Additional Grant will go some way in supporting our local Hospitality, Accommodation, Leisure and Entertainment businesses to recover from an extremely difficult period.

Customer expectations are different to what they were and for businesses to succeed they need to ensure they are continuing to adapt. We hope this grant will incentivise businesses and help make that change."

How to apply?

Grants will be issued on a first come first served basis and funding is limited. The application process will go live on Wednesday 19th May 2021 at 12noon via this link: https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/doitonline/outdoor-hospitality-grant

Applications will close at 10am on Monday 7th June 2021.
