Padel Master brings Doncaster its first dedicated indoor Padel facility

Padel Master, Doncaster’s newest sporting destination, is set to open its doors in 2026 at Unit 1, Centurion Retail Park, marking a major milestone for the region’s health and wellness scene.

Founded in August 2025, this independent venture will be the city’s first fully dedicated indoor Padel facility—offering a vibrant space for sport, socialising, and community building.

Plans are for the centre to have six championship-standard double courts and two single courts, all housed within a modern, purpose-built venue. Beyond the courts, visitors can enjoy a retail shop, café, bar, and a welcoming social area.

Behind the project is Aman Johal a passionate Doncaster resident and Padel enthusiast, who saw a gap in the market and wanted to turn a personal passion into a community-focused business.

“We started Padel Master because we love the sport and saw a real lack of facilities locally,” Aman explains. “With support from Vicky Hazlett and the Business Doncaster team, we’ve been able to turn our dream into reality.”

The journey to get to this stage wasn’t without its challenges. The team spent nearly two years searching across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire for the right site, facing planning hurdles and resistance from landlords unfamiliar with the sport. But patience paid off when Business Doncaster introduced them to the Centurion Retail Park site—an ideal location that had been vacant for a while.

Padel Master is set to employ at least eight staff members, including general managers, coaches, and baristas, and has ambitious plans for growth.

“We want to introduce Padel to local schools and colleges and inspire a new generation to embrace this inclusive sport,” says Aman. “It’s social, competitive, and accessible—everything a modern sport should be.”

What sets Padel Master apart is its independent spirit. Unlike many UK Padel operators backed by celebrities or large corporations, this is a grassroots initiative driven by genuine love for the game.

“We’re not a big brand—we’re just passionate people who believe in the power of sport to bring communities together” Aman added.”
