Robin Hood themed housing development launches in Thorne

Robin Hood Grove, a new and exciting residential development, was born in Thorne just nine months ago. To date, the developer Chris Tapsell (of Group 3 Properties), is well under way with the first ten homes being built in this stylish complex.

The town of Thorne has historically been a mining town, but is rapidly evolving into a family oriented, up-coming village with many new developments taking place in the area. Robin Hood Grove is a residential development comprising of 29 stylish modern homes, situated in the western part of the town at the end of Alexandra St. This exciting new development is the latest amongst some 12 new developments planned in this area of Thorne.

The first of his themed developments is based on the famous villain, Robin Hood and his merry men.  At the entrance of the development you will be greeted by the bespoke metal statue of Robin Hood, with the impressive entrance walls proudly bearing his name. Residents will drive down a beautiful oak tree lined avenue leading to various Tudor and 12th century style homes. Progressing further into the development you will notice that every house has a name of the characters who surrounded Robin Hood. "King Richard House" which was snapped up before the development even launched to the public.

Chris explains that he has more than 30 names from Robin Hood characters like "Little John house", this is yet to be chosen as a house name.

Northwoods of Doncaster have never seen such a great way of integrating a community and are proudly marketing the development for Chris and have already had 8 sales confirmed.

The house designs (by JHA Architects) are brilliant - with 2-bedroom homes from £265,900 and 5 bedroom homes with garages starting from £369,000.  All the homes are triple glazed and have underfloor heating, making them warm in the colder months. In the warmer months, there are huge folding stack doors allowing owners to open their homes to the back garden to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Other features include an electric car charging point and other smart living options. Every home is freehold, and a home owners association will take care of communal costs such as the security cameras at the entrance.

Having identified the massive expansion of the area and the additional need for housing, Chris has a huge drive to expand his themed developments in the Thorne area. Plans to create new roads with easy access to the M18 direct from Alexandra St is also an example that Chris is working on to help with traffic flows.

Chris is a seasoned developer, having completed over 30 developments in Cape Town, South Africa. These are testimonials of his success in creating and implementing winning strategies. He has employed only local professionals and has created an amazing team to bring his ideas and visions to life. He feels that his themed developments are a perfect addition to Thorne, working hand in hand with tourism and investment in the area.

The public launch will be open from 12pm on 30 April at the development. For further info contact Cheryl at Northwoods on 01405 814 999.
