Yorkshire engineers win Doncaster redevelopment project work

The move will see Wakefield-based HJ Consulting provide consultancy advice along with civil and structural engineering services to Premcor Estates, which has secured planning approval for the 43-acre Mode 18 development at Rossington, Doncaster.

These include ground engineering and highway design as well as drainage design, hydraulic modelling, SUDs design, flood risk assessment, and drainage strategy planning.

Located three miles south of Doncaster, next to the M18 motorway and close to the iPort Logistics Park, the site will feature a pre-let electric vehicle-ready logistics yard with outline consent for the development of up to 450,000 sq ft of industrial, warehousing and logistics space.

Enabling works are now under way, including construction of a new link 0.75km road providing direct access from the main highway network into the site.

Andrew Fairburn, managing director, said: “We continue to strengthen our partnership with Premcor and support its investment plans for ambitious redevelopment projects with technical advice, skills and engineering expertise.

“This latest move comes at a time when we are seeing continued growth in 2026 as we look to secure new contracts across the region and the UK.”

Simon Hawkins, director at Premcor Estates, said: “With planning consent now secured, we can move directly into delivery and begin building the infrastructure that underpins the entire scheme.
