Doncaster Business celebrates 10 Years of growth and innovation

Business of the Month by Heather Hamilton

Founded by Adam Fleming in October 2016, Fastline Services Ltd has evolved from a specialist line marking provider into a comprehensive warehouse safety, maintenance and site improvement specialist, supporting customers across warehousing, logistics, manufacturing and industrial sectors throughout the UK.

Over the last ten years, the business has significantly expanded its service offering in response to the changing needs of customers, introducing concrete repairs, resin flooring, anti-slip systems, safety signage, pedestrian segregation, impact protection and a wide range of warehouse safety improvements.

Their growth has been driven by a commitment to understanding customers' operations and identifying practical solutions that can be delivered within busy, live working environments.

As Fastline began working with larger and more complex sites, it recognised a growing demand for a more joined-up approach to site safety, maintenance and operational improvement. Rather than delivering individual services in isolation, they adapted their offer to help organisations better understand site conditions, identify risks and plan improvements more strategically.

This evolution has seen Fastline place greater emphasis on planned maintenance programmes, helping customers move away from reactive responses towards proactive management of their facilities.

Speaking on their 10-year milestone, Founder and Managing Director Adam Fleming said: “When I started Fastline in 2016, the focus was on delivering high-quality line marking services. Over the years, our customers increasingly asked us to help with broader challenges around safety, maintenance and site improvement.

“That demand has shaped the business we are today. We've grown our services, our team and our capabilities, but our approach remains unchanged. We take the time to understand our customers' sites; identify their needs and provide practical solutions that work in real-world operational environments.

Fastline has invested heavily in strengthening the foundations of the business. Recent developments include the launch of a new website and company brochure, bringing marketing activities in-house, and enhancing systems, processes and technology to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

The business is also exploring how artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies can support better site information management and deliver greater value to customers.

Adam added: “Our next chapter is about helping customers think ahead. We want to make it easier for businesses to understand the condition of their sites, identify potential issues before they become problems and make informed decisions that improve both safety and efficiency.

“We're incredibly proud to have built the business in Doncaster and to continue growing from the city that has been our home for the last decade. The future is about combining our practical experience with smarter technologies and better data to help customers create safer, more efficient workplaces.”

As Fastline Services enters its second decade, the company remains focused on supporting customers to improve workplace safety, enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce operational disruption and create safer, more productive working environments across the UK.
