A Doncaster business which supplies machinery for the clothing and automotive industries to big name clients has invested in new premises as a springboard for growth.

CES UK Ltd has purchased a brand new commercial unit at Platinum Park, off First Avenue, a site which has been developed by Priority Space, in partnership with HG Sites.

The company supplies and maintains a range of steam processing equipment, fusing and laminating machinery, and garment bagging machines for use on various fabrics across the clothing and automotive industries. Established in 2022 by directors Trevor and Carrie Fullerton and Ryan Beards, CES UK inherited a client list from the trio’s previous employer and has consolidated and expanded this customer base ever since.

Carrie Fullerton said: “We’ve been extremely busy since starting CES UK and now need to invest in a permanent base to support further growth and future-proof our business.

"We considered renting but were in a position to buy and opted for the security of our own premises. Platinum Park is perfect for us, and we look forward to building our business here.”

The company is adding a mezzanine floor to maximise space in their 2,500 square foot unit which will include offices, boardroom, storage, workshop and showroom facilities.

Director of Priority Space Lee Buchanan said: “Our aim is to provide small ambitious companies like CES UK Ltd with the opportunity to invest in their own quality premises and to deliver bright, clean and modern spaces which can be customised to meet their needs.

“Opportunities for owner-occupiers are still quite rare in the commercial property market, and our commitment to giving businesses the option to buy, rather than let, if they are in a position to do so is our USP. We believe that owning your own premises often enables a business to grow more confidently and quickly. We wish CES UK all good fortune as they build their business at Platinum Park.”

Carrie Fullerton said: “We chose Platinum Park because of its great location to reach our UK-wide client base. The airport re-opening soon will make it much easier for us to fly to Germany when we need to and receive visitors from there. We also appreciate that we’ve been able to set the unit up completely as we want it.

“Once we’re settled in, we’ll be looking to create jobs. We need help with the day-to-day running of the business to allow ourselves more time to focus on our online profile and following up leads for growth. We’re also keen to take on one or two electrical and mechanical engineering apprentices to strengthen our team.”

CES UK are the UK agents for Germany’s Veit GmbH and Polypack GmbH. Their products include steaming tunnels, bagging machines and conveyors for fashion retailers; lamination machines to adhere foam to leather and other materials for luxury seating in cars and planes; and industrial-scale steam generators and ironing tables for professional garment pressing.

Its clients include Next, Burberry, Boohoo, Zara, John Lewis, M&S, New Look; Bentley and Aston Martin; hotels such as The Dorchester in London, boarding schools and universities with fashion courses.

Platinum Park and neighbouring Jubilee Park are new developments by Priority Space, in partnership with H.G. Sites, bringing 16 new industrial and warehousing units to the region’s commercial property market.

Located six miles from the city centre and close to the M1 and M18, the new units have proved popular with more than 50 per cent under offer, let or sold, leaving seven units remaining, ranging in size from 1,759 sq ft to 29,790 sq ft. .
