An Introduction to: Tableau Visualisation

  • Venue:Sheffield Hallam University
  • Date:16th Mar 2022 - 17th Mar 2022
  • Price:FREE

This workshop is a great opportunity for businesses who are interested in data analysis and visualisation using Excel or Power BI to get started with Tableau.

The sessions will be led by Neha Sehgal and Seun Ajao, data science experts from Sheffield Hallam University and will cover importing data, wrangling data, and producing and exporting visualisations. You will find out how to create interactive storyboards for strategic reports and how to generate insights from data.

This is a highly practical workshop, offering hands-on experience of working with data. You will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals in your field and to find out more about the Digital Innovation for Growth programme and how it can support your business.

This workshop is available to SMEs in the Sheffield City Region and the districts of Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales & Northeast Derbyshire.

Pre-requisites:

No prior experience of Tableau is assumed; however, pre-installation of key software is required. Further details on how to complete the installation to get started will be sent prior to the workshop.

Who should attend?

Professionals working within the digital technology or healthcare sector. There is no coding involved in this workshop. It is meant for those who want to harness the powerful visualisation experience in Tableau without getting their hands dirty with code. For those looking for more hands-on coding exposure to manipulate their data, it is recommended that they join the R Visualisation workshop.
