Barclays Eagle Labs partners with Sheffield Technology Parks to support South Yorkshire businesses

Based at Sheffield Technology Parks' Cooper Buildings, the South Yorkshire Eagle Lab is set to support founders, start-ups and scale-ups from across the region through business mentoring, growth programmes, events and workshops, investor and corporate connections, and access to Barclays Eagle Labs' UK-wide entrepreneurial network. 

Sheffield Technology Parks is a not-for-profit organisation that supports the growth and diversity of South Yorkshire's innovation ecosystem by providing flexible space, practical  support and connections for technology and science businesses.

The South Yorkshire Eagle Lab is expected to complement existing local support and strengthen links between start-ups, industry, universities, investors and professional services. 

It is also set to contribute to the wider ambition to grow Sheffield and South Yorkshire's strengths in areas such as advanced manufacturing, deep tech, AI, health and life sciences, advanced materials, climate tech and the creative and digital industries.

South Yorkshire mayor Oliver Coppard said: "There's a real sense of momentum in South Yorkshire. More companies are choosing to invest here because they can see what we already know: we're a place with the expertise, experience  and entrepreneurs to shape the industries and businesses of the future.
