Domestic Abuse training programme available for professionals and businesses in Doncaster

Domestic abuse is not just a ‘private matter, there is an ethical responsibility for employers to also help address this issue and a perhaps for the workplace to become a haven for victims/survivors of abuse.

Most businesses still do not have a domestic abuse policy, therefore as a result, Doncaster Council has developed training material to assist employers, managers and HR colleagues in the workplace to help raise awareness.

The workshops are currently being delivered online until March 2022 and all training is FREE to support professionals and volunteers in their job roles.

Regardless of the extent to which a business engages with training, all businesses need to understand that, besides the more detailed setting up of a policy, and raising general awareness in the organisation, it is of real value to build domestic awareness training into all management development programmes.

Courses include the following:

  • Domestic Abuse Awareness
