Doncaster Business Awards Reimagined

A highlight of the business calendar for more than two decades, the Doncaster Business Awards, hosted annually at Doncaster Racecourse, has been set for March 2021.

Doncaster Chamber Chief Executive Officer Dan Fell said:

“We feel it is vital to recognise past successes in order to help re-build the future, so with this in mind we are postponing the Doncaster Business Awards until March 2021.

“The sacrifices and contributions made by businesses in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and economic crisis have been truly humbling. I constantly seek to remind people that business communities are a true force for good and deeply committed to the people and communities where they are based. Never has that been more apparent and it is hugely important that the innovation, tenacity and generosity demonstrated by Doncaster’s business community during this troubling time is aptly celebrated.

“The Chamber’s Business Awards are one of the landmark events in the region’s business calendar. Necessarily, we are having to reschedule the event to March instead of December in light of Covid-19. However, we firmly believe that there is more to celebrate this year than ever. We want to honour the Business Heroes that have kept business moving and supported the Covid-19 effort. We also want to celebrate our borough and our health partners that have done so much on the frontline to support communities in their hour of need. As such, we promise that the March 2021 Doncaster Business Awards will be our most special awards yet and we look forwards to seeing you there.”

The Chamber has made a number of other changes to the awards. The reimagined awards night will introduce additional awards in honour and recognition of the work of health partners across the borough.

Sponsored by ORB Recruitment, four NHS Awards will be presented in recognition of the outstanding contribution of NHS staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty during the coronavirus pandemic.

Three additional award categories are also introduced: Apprentice of the Year, Green Business of the Year and Young Business Person of the Year.
