A free disposal service for all old and broken electronics will be available at the event
Doncaster’s ‘Green Business of the Year’ are offering a free disposal service for all your old/broken electronics at the Business Showcase on 2 February 2023 at Doncaster Racecourse. Enviro electronics will be Exhibiting on Stand 38-39 where they will have a secure IT disposal bin for both visitors and exhibitors to take advantage of.
The idea came from conversations held with Business Doncaster on how they can help the City of Doncaster reach its target to become NET ZERO by 2040, a whole 10 years ahead of the rest of the UK! Our aim is to make WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) recycling simple so that more items are recycled in comparison to what is sent to landfill.
It's time to clear out that cupboard of old laptops, phones and tablets and bring them down to the Enviro Electronics team to recycle!
Examples of items that Enviro collect ranges from servers, PCs, laptops, desktops and telephone systems through to toasters, vacuum cleaners and microwaves. In simple terms, the business collects virtually ALL forms of WEEE and operate by a zero to landfill policy.
The business aim is to reuse or repurpose where they can to put equipment back in the system. By doing this, they are able to support community projects by donating essential IT equipment to organisations and families affected by Digital Poverty, to ensure children can do their homework, adults can access courses online or apply for jobs etc. So not only are they helping the environment, they’re also giving back to the local area.
