Mixed-use Doncaster development receives planning approval

Plans for a mixed-use commercial scheme development including Grade A offices, retail and leisure space on land at Herten Way and Gliwice Way within the established Lakeside area, Doncaster has received planning approval.

The development will consist of a four-storey building, with the ground floor providing small-scale retail and commercial units and the upper floors comprising office space.

The trio of units will be created on the ground floor measuring 4,300, 2,740, and 4,315 sq. ft.

The three floors of office space will each measure 8,675 sq. ft and will be arranged into smaller office spaces and meeting rooms with communal welfare areas and toilets.

The plans also include outdoor amenity space at roof level for office workers and public open space on the southern part of the site, along with a small car park.

Work is anticipated to start on site by summer 2024 and it is expected that the development will bring forward substantial long-term economic benefits through the creation of a variety of job roles over the life of the development.

The office space will create around 100 jobs, with the floorspace arranged into smaller/collaboration spaces aimed at start-up type businesses.
