New Sustainability Programme: Green Skills for Small Business

Delivered by expert trainers and academics you will learn the green skills you need to have what it takes to be a sustainable small business.

Join Small Business Britain's new sustainability programme Green Skills for Small Business, delivered in partnership with Oxford Brookes Business School

With 61% of consumers saying a brand’s sustainability credentials are an important factor behind their spending decisions, this programme will help you become a brand that better appeals to customers.[1]

This programme is open to any small business, including those who have completed previous Sustainability Basics and Business for Good programmes.

The free 6-week programme which starts at 11am on 7 November, will give you vital skills to help you on your sustainability journey.

Delivered by expert trainers Adam Bastock of Small99, Ciaran Armstrong of Sustainable Pathways and academics from Oxford Brookes Business School, you will learn the green skills you need to have what it takes to be a sustainable small business.

The weekly hour-long webinars will cover the following topics:

  • 7 November: Week 1 – Sustainability Basics
  • 14 November: Week 2 - Sustainable Marketing and Sharing your Story
  • 21 November: Week 3 – Measurement
  • 28 November: Week 4 - Green communities and the Power of Working Together
  • 5 December: Week 5 – Financing your sustainability Journey
  • 12 December: Week 6 - Accreditations and Certifications

Upon completion of the programme, you will receive a digital badge which can be shared on your website, social media and other marketing channels to demonstrate your business’ commitment to sustainability.

The programme is fully flexible, and all webinars will be recorded and available to watch on a dedicated private page on the Small Business Britain website for three months after the end of the programme.

After you sign up for Green Skills programme you will become part of an exclusive online Facebook community where you can share experiences and gain access to experts as well as peer-to-peer learning and support!
