The Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards 2024 are open for entries

The Department for Business and Trade's annual Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards recognises and celebrates the global trading success of SMEs from across the UK.

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is pleased to announce that the Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards 2024 are open for entries as of Friday 10th November. Businesses will have until 14th January 2024 to submit their entries.

From iconic clothing to ice cream makers, assistive dyslexia software and world-class consultancy, the UK makes, creates, designs and engineers amazing products and services that are sold to the world. DBT's annual Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards  recognise and celebrate the global trading success of SMEs from across the UK.

Any UK SME with up to 250 employees can enter the 2024 awards, by completing a short submission form online. This will then be judged by a panel of DBT sector experts, alongside an independent panel member, Marco Forgione, Director General of the Institute of Export & International Trade.

Marco Forgione, Director General of the Institute of Export & International Trade said:

‘’It is a great pleasure to return as a judge for the Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards in 2024. Last year, we saw the amazing depth of talent and entrepreneurial spirit of British businesses and I hope this will encourage even more companies to enter this year.

This competition is further proof that international trade is a force for good, and that British goods and services are hugely valued overseas. The Institute of Export & International Trade is a proud partner of these awards, and we will continue to work closely with DBT to champion the amazing work being undertaken by British businesses trading across the world’’.

As the awards programme enters its second year, DBT has added to the list of categories SMEs can enter. For 2024, there will be ten categories open for entries:

  • Agriculture, Food & Drink
