Business Open Day 2024

Local business professionals are invited to join and find out more about the opportunities to partner with Leeds University Business School.

Discover how our community of businesses and industry professionals across all sectors can get involved with the Business School. Whether you're a small business owner or part of a large corporation, our academic team and industry professionals have something to offer.

You’ll have the chance to hear first-hand from those who have already benefited from our expertise, and our academic team will be on hand to explain the various opportunities to collaborate, inspire, and learn with us.

Who should attend?

The event is open to individuals from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Whether you are an SME with ambitions for growth, a large corporate that needs to find an innovative solution, or a charity that wants to access our great diverse pool of student talent, there is something for you.

We welcome any business professionals who are interested in understanding how they can grow, innovate or transform their organisation.

Plenary Sessions

9 plenary sessions will run throughout the day covering the themes of Collaborate, Inspire, Learn.

• Collaborate: Our academics conduct wide ranging research that has real world impact and our ability to innovate leads to new products, services and solutions. We can help you translate ideas and challenges into business opportunities. For example through Knowledge Transfer Projects and Research Projects.

• Inspire: Collaborating with students through work placements or one-off projects can be beneficial to you and your business. We can help you to recruit graduates, organise internships and raise your company profile. We can also find opportunities for you to share your knowledge and expertise with the next generation through mentoring, guest lectures, our Leaders in Residence programme and our Enterprise Ambassadors.

• Learn: We will showcase a wide range of Professional Leadership Programmes for both individuals and teams, customised and open. As a research-intensive institution, our programmes are informed and delivered by leading academics across the full spectrum of business disciplines.
