Community Befriending Programme – Bringing People Together

We are delighted to share that Andrew will be joining us to give a presentation in our Lounge on Tuesday 5th May 2026 at 12:00pm.

During this session, he will provide further insight into the programme and the positive impact it has on those involved.The befriending service is community support in its most authentic form. Volunteer befrienders dedicate one hour each week to visit a lonely or socially isolated older neighbour for a cup of tea and a friendly chat.

Whether it’s on the way back from work, after a trip to the shops, or following the school run, visits are arranged at a time that suits both individuals.These visits offer more than just conversation, they provide companionship, a listening ear, and valuable support to someone who may otherwise feel alone.
