Apprenticeship programme starts

Doncaster Maintenance UK Ltd were delighted to welcome three new members of staff last week, who began their 18-month flat roofing apprenticeship.

In conjunction with Juniper, the trio began their journey to becoming roofers with a roof-top safety training course in the house through the sister company, Optimum Training.

They got to grips with the demanding nature of working at height and will be learning on the job, alongside the company’s most experienced staff.

Group operations director Ann Habbershaw said: “We’re so excited to have the boys on board, they were all keen and so thrilled to start, and that’s exactly the kind of attitude we were searching for.

“It’s so important that we look to the future of the business, and so far these lads have shown the character needed to make sure it is a bright one for Doncaster Maintenance; we can’t wait to see them progress and thrive here.”

Optimum Training will be leading on the entirety of training throughout the apprenticeships, and specialise in the delivery of an extensive range of courses in Working at Height and Health and Safety, both at the training centre based in Armthorpe, Doncaster, as well as on-site across the UK.
