Doncaster Hydrogen Hub – Stakeholder Briefing

Doncaster has the opportunity to be a leading UK borough in the zero emission transport revolution by spearheading the use of hydrogen to power heavier vehicles, such as HGVs, refuse collection vehicles, buses and warehouse vehicles.

This is an invitation to attend a Doncaster Hydrogen Hub Stakeholder Briefing on Tuesday 28 June at the National College for Advanced Transport & Infrastructure to help establish whether there is an opportunity to develop hydrogen refuelling at scale in Doncaster?

Beta, supported by Doncaster Council has developed a roadmap to implement hydrogen for transport, embracing the borough’s strengths and central location.

The objective of the event is to explain the process that Beta have been going through and to gain interest and engagement by those attending. There will also be the opportunity to discuss the feasibility study during an open forum session.

It may be of particular interest but not limited to Transport & Haulage companies, producers of Hydrogen, Training Providers, Refuse and Waste Recycling companies and HGV Operators.

Topics at the event will cover:

• Feasibility study overview;

• National and regional hydrogen strategy;

• Vehicles, infrastructure requirements and local demand;

• Local impacts, including skills and the environment;

• Next steps.

Speakers include representatives from Doncaster Council, Doncaster UTC, Beta Technology, Cenex, Market Infra Consulting and Brunel University.

The event runs from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and is free of charge. Registration opens at 10am and will be followed by lunch and networking.
