FREE online business course for budding Doncaster entrepreneurs

A FREE 10 day online business course will inspire Doncaster residents to start their own business.

Organised by Doncaster Council’s Business Doncaster team and the Rebel Business School, local residents are able to get a helping hand to make their business dreams a reality.

The daily online workshops from leading business professionals will show people how to find a business idea, get started and give running a business a go. What’s more, it can be done without spending money. The course will show you how.

It is perfect for potential entrepreneurs wanting their own business and small businesses who are stuck and need direction to help get back on track.

Deputy Mayor Glyn Jones - Cabinet Member for Housing and Business, said: “These free online workshops will help Doncaster residents launch a business and provide some key skills in how to make it a success.

“If you are out of work or always dreamed of becoming self-employed and your own boss please register your interest. You will be inspired and gain the confidence to achieve what you always wanted. Anything is possible.”

Attendees can expect a completely different approach to starting a business, Simon Paine, Rebel Business School co-founder and CEO, explains:

"There’s nothing better than meeting someone with no business experience and guiding them through their first sale - it can transform lives.

“You don’t need money, experience or a university degree to start a business. You just need an idea, some passion and a bit of help.

“Many of those attending will leave with a business and a first sale. Those who don’t will still take away business skills, practical advice and confidence. We like to say: ‘this is the best business course money can’t buy’.”

The workshops will include morning and afternoon sessions via Microsoft Teams every day from Monday 7 to Friday 18 June 2021.
