Doncaster Chamber strengthens team with new appointments

Doncaster Chamber has appointed Suzy Broadhead as Education Director to head up its education work through Opportunities Doncaster and promoted Jade Dyer to Business Director to lead the Chamber’s membership and commercial activity. Adrian Platts has been promoted to a new role as Head of International Trade.

Kelli Parnham has also joined the Chamber as Business Support Manager to oversee the organisation’s support for new start businesses, high growth companies and social enterprises.

The team are also preparing to move to new headquarters at Finance for Enterprise, having been located at the Keepmoat Stadium for almost six years. Finance for Enterprise are key strategic partners of the Chamber and the co-location will allow the organisations to provide a one stop shop for business support in Doncaster.

Suzy Broadhead has worked in education, local authority and the third sector for 20 years and joins the Chamber following 9 years at Youth Sport Trust, a national children’s charity that works to ensure every child enjoys the life-changing benefits that come from physical activity, play and sport within and beyond education settings.

She has a background in building and supporting a network of professionals within schools to deliver high quality positive experiences, encouraging and empowering young people to lead the way and influence change through programme innovation, implementation and partnership working.

She will primarily focus on delivering the Opportunities Doncaster project, continuing the Chamber’s work to bring business and education closer together to support the borough’s economic growth.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to continue to support young people to flourish and grow within my local area and I’m looking forward to building on the great work that has already been done” She said.

Jade Dyer said, “This is an exciting time in the Chamber’s history as Doncaster’s businesses seek to rebuild and renew. This opportunity enables me to evolve the company’s commercial strategy with the local business community at the forefront, pushing forward with a focus on continued growth and development.”

Dan Fell said, “These are very exciting times for the Chamber. We have made some excellent new appointments and are lucky to have brought some brilliant new colleagues into the team as well as promoting other colleagues into senior positions. Our new look leadership team is experienced, energetic, and determined to make a positive difference for Doncaster’s business community.

“These remain extremely challenging times for businesses and the borough’s communities; this is especially the case for the younger generation that we support via Opportunities Doncaster. It is therefore a good time to re-energise the Chamber’s leadership team and to increase our capacity to support the borough to economic recovery.”
